Teacher at Altus Schools Charter school of san diego
Altus Schools Charter School of San Diego (CSSD), part of the Altus affiliated schools, is a nonprofit, state-funded public charter school serving students in grades 6-12. Offering a dynamic alternative to the traditional school setting, CSSD is dedicated to putting students first by focusing on academic achievement, educational innovation, and improving the quality of life for students, their families, and their communities. Our approach redefines how teachers teach and students learn, with a strong emphasis on personalized, blended learning.
Education Specialist
Altus Schools Charter School of San Diego (CSSD) is affiliated with Altus Schools. Altus Schools is an educational option for students in grades 6-12. Its instructional design is based on a “University Model.” Students work independently and attend tutoring sessions. Students come at scheduled times to maintain a safe environment and supportive school culture. The course of study is based on the California State Framework.
Resource Center Associate
Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program in grades 6-12, and support operations of a community-based resource center. Resource Center Associates (RCAs) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional staff. The RCA position is hourly and part-time, 25 hours per week. RCAs are role models for students and expected to look, act, and speak as representatives of the school at all times.
Certificated Teacher Resource
Under the direct supervision of a general education teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program in grades 6-12, and support operations of the resource center. Certificated Teacher Resource (CTRs) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional team. The CTR position is full-time, 40 hours per week. CTRs are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as representatives of the school at all times.
