Laurel Prep Students Participate in National Shoe Design Contest

Recently, students from Laurel Preparatory Academy participated in the Vans Custom Culture contest, a national high school competition that empowers students to embrace their creativity through art and design.

The winner of this competition earns $50,000 for their school’s art program!

Four Laurel students participated in the event, each choosing a specific theme for their shoe.

Carlos Gomez’s theme: local flavor
Oscar San Martin’s theme: art
Isabella Noreiga’s theme: sports (surfing)
Isabella Van Tassel’s theme: music

Check out their completed shoe designs! Great job, everyone!
